On May 22nd, I planted the columbines and lupines in the big front garden.

That clay is a real challenge, isn't it? It can get awfully difficult to break up and mix with better soil components. There's a lot of work behind those photos!
ReplyDeleteYeah, the clay was really bad! I definitely wouldn't want to plant my seedlings directly into it... they would have lots of trouble growing. You are right about the work -- my muscles are very sore!
